Two people from Spruce Grove and one from Leduc are facing charges in connection with a drug investigation.

According to a Dec. 3 release from the Parkland RCMP the drug unit at the detachment recently concluded a case in the Spruce Grove and Stony Plain area. Warrants were executed at various locations in Spruce Grove and officers found 50 grams of cocaine, 60 grams of methamphetamine, 400 milliliters of GHB, paraphernalia related to drug trafficking, a firearm and a large unspecified amount of money.

As a result, Jacob Roach and Chanelle Vandal-Lauman of the Tri-Region and Brandon Regamey of Leduc were arrested. They face multiple counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and Roach and Vandal-Lauman have also been charged with occupying a motor vehicle knowing it contained a firearm and possessing a loaded prohibited firearm without authorization. Regamey also has six counts of possessing a firearm while prohibited and charges of failing to comply with probation. None have been proven in court.

Earlier this year Vandal-Lauman was also charged with various drug offenses. As well the release went on to note Roach and Regamey have been charged with the armed robbery which recently occurred by the Prescott Learning Centre earlier in the morning back in November.

The trio will appear in Stony Plain Provincial Court Wednesday for their allegations. No further details will be released.
